Zion too hot in July/August

I am thinking of hiking in Colorado, but my daughter wanted me to ask if it is too hot to hike Zion in July/August. I have never been there so I am not familiar with the terrain, etc. So, what do you guys recommend?

Southern Utah Can be extremely hot in mid summer. Like 100. I'd look farther north like Colorado, Wyoming, Montana. Consider the Tetons, the Wind Rivers, The San Juans, The Beartooths, or even Glacier NP. Beware! National Parks are VERY popular in mid-summer and permits can be tough to get. Start applying now, especially for Glacier.
