Headed to CO first week in June. Never been out west before but super excited to go! Looking for info on a few decent day hike options in Rocky Mtn. Nat'l Park. Family of 3 with moderate hiking experience (myself, wife and 12 yr. old daughter). I've been doing the research...books, maps, internet but thought this forum might be a good resource as well. Thanks in advance!

P.S. Also looking for a rafting trip in the area as well if anyone has info.

MD485 You may have to stick to hiking in lower elevations. There might very well still be snow in them there mountains. Some of the ski resorts are open until mid June. Hike the Front Range foothills or go south.

And welcome to TrailGrove!

Took family rafting down Arkansas River through the Browns Canyon last July. Awesome trip and great for 12 year old. My daughter was 12 when we went. She had a blast. It was cold in July could not imagine going in June. Check out some Photos in the mountain thread Browns Canyon. let me know if you need more info on this. I think we used Wilderness Aware Rafting Co. Top notch outfit.
