REI Dividends

Just noticed that REI member dividends are out -

Anyone have any gear in mind that you've been waiting to pickup?

I got a good dividend for the first time - I've always lived 100+ miles from the nearest store but have their credit card. I don't have any pressing gear needs, so I'll probably hang onto it until my next pilgrimage to Santa Barbara, or the next 20% off sale.

I'm kind of in a similar situation...there's a couple things I have in mind that I don't necessarily need but would like to pick up, but REI doesn't carry them. Might end up taking the check this year, although July 1st is a bit of a wait.

I didn't get any dividends this year .  My REI purchases last year didn't have any dividend points.  My son (who worked at REI part-time last year) only got 60 cents. I would have thought with all the gear he brought home, he would have earned more dividend points.  I guess the employee discount was good enough!

I am looking for a fleece vest to supplement cool evening clothes at altitude, though.  My local REI is having a garage sale soon - I'll have to check it out.

Do the 20% off sales happen often?  I'm in the market for a new tent and got an REI gift certificate for Christmas.

Fantastic!  Now the hard part.  Deciding on a tent!  The more I look at and read about, the less I know what to get.  LOL
