Primitive/roadside camping near Blowing Rock/Boone North Carolina

Hey y'all, I'm looking for some primitive or roadside camping in the general vicinity of Blowing Rock, Boone, Linville, etc. Suggestions anyone?

There is always Kistler Memorial Hwy (Old NC 105 ) down the West side of the Linville Gorge Wilderness or Table Rock Road ( NC 1265) down the East side for car camping. Great for base camping and dayhikes into the Gorge itself.
