Who Is Getting Out This Weekend- Nov 3-4

November! Where the hell did October go? Where did 2012 go? Yeesh this year skipped by. I am planning on 2 different hikes on Sunday as long as the clocks changing doesn't screw up my schedule. Planning to hike Potato Mountain which sounds delicious and then hiking in a wilderness section of the Angeles National Forest here in SoCal. Where are you guys getting out to?

We're sort of haphazardly section hiking the CDT through Wyoming at the moment, so planning to head out from the southern-most point we've made it to so far in the southern Winds and keep heading south towards Highway 28. Might be one of our last chances to hit that section without snowshoes until next year.

We hiked 11.4 miles from Spooner Lake State Park up to Snow Valley Peak (9214'). It was a glorious day..sunny, warm (except for the frigid early morning start) and no wind. It was likely the last Sierra hike we'll go on until spring wearing just hiking boots as a storm is expected to drop a foot or so of snow this Thursday.
