I found this site on accident, but it's truly a happy accident. My family and I live about two miles from the entrance to The Pisgah National Forest. I have set a couple of goals for us. 1.) We hike all of the trails in The PNF by August 2013 and 2.) We see all of the Waterfalls in our county that are not on private property.

Hi Beth, and welcome to the site! You live in such a beautiful area... it's great that you and your family appreciate it. I have to wonder how many trails there are in the forest, and how many waterfalls too.

i am new here. i now live in sd. top of black hills. i was born and raised in winston-salem and spent many happy hours in the woods, mountains, and countryside. still miss it there. i am 72, love to travel, hike, camp,sleep in tent.
