Welcome! A lot of knowledgeable people here. I've only done a quick dayhike in Texas (Enchanted Rock State Park this past October) but have always wanted to go to Big Bend National Park. Guadalupe Mountains National Park is also somewhere I'd like to backpack in Texas . . . there was a great article about that destination in the most recent issue of the magazine. Hope 2017 is a great hiking year for you!
