Snowy hike to fire tower

I took advantage of some time I had to start knocking off some of NH's fire towers. This one is 75 feet and sits on a small hill of only 690 feet. On a clear day, some of NH's southern mountains are visible, unfortunately, I did not get a clear day. Still, this was my first hike in the snow since last winter and it felt good to be back walking in the snow. Here is the video from the day:

Cool video, looks like nice forest hiking and lookouts are always a cool destination. Bummer about the overcast skies, but the view definitely beats sitting in front of a TV. Nice that you didn't have any wind up there, I was a fire tower in Great Smoky Mountains National Park on an especially windy afternoon a few years ago and the wind definitely made it a different and not entirely pleasant experience.
