The low trail running shoe version in Altra’s RSM (rain, snow, mud) Lone Peak lineup, the Lone Peak 4 RSM low is designed to offer enhanced performance in wet conditions while keeping all the benefits that go along with a lightweight trail running shoe. Like the Altra RSM Mid, this version utilizes an eVent layer for waterproofing combined with breathability. In my locale, while mesh non-waterproof footwear is my preferred choice for summer hiking, a waterproof shoe like the Lone Peak 4 RSM is nice to have on hand for shoulder season activities when it’s a bit brisk outside (or winter and snow conditions when in a mid-height form). Out of the box and unfortunately, the RSM line including the Lone Peak RSM 4 low here is, like the previous NeoShell versions...
