Hello from California

Hi members ... this site was recommended by several esteemed members of <another site> so I thought I'd check it out. I'm not planning a "move" from the other site, but it never hurts to expand one's horizons .

I'm mostly a backpacker, and a day hiker, and enjoy photography, and have been doing both off and on for, ummm, "a number of years", and much more so over the past few. I'm looking forward to seeing what's going on here ...
