Cables route on Half Dome opening early

apparently the Cables route for half dome is opening for the season early from May 16th – 22nd, and they have permits available on recreation.gov

If i lived around Yosemite, i would jump on this. Too bad plane tickets from Denver to San Francisco are way more than i can afford on this short notice.
