Thank goodness for the Wilderness Act of 1964, and for forward looking people such as Howard Zahniser. We are lucky enough to live in a country (well, at least most TG readers are in the US) that has been willing to set aside primitive areas and federal/state parks for recreation. Where would any of us be hiking to without these efforts against the money and power of big corporations?
