High up on Tioga Pass- Just outside of the Yosemite boundary. Perfect way to spend the 4th of July holiday.

Wait a minute. I only count 6 lakes. :D Thank you for that. I never tire of great Sierras pics. Reffffreshing. By contrast I went to a professional rodeo for July 4th and had sushi. Something really different. It was neat but I'd rather have been in the Sierras backpacking and eating fresh caught trout.

Wow, great scenery, thanks for sharing! Hopefully a few less mosquitoes than we had here in the Winds over the holiday weekend. That flower picture is amazing, although the 3rd one down is hard to beat! :D

I love the Alpine Shooting Star! And I love my Bearikade bear can...wrapped in Trail Groove. :-) The mosquitos weren't too bad but we did have to Deet up to stay comfortable. We had some evening breezes that kept them down somewhat. Headed out to Virginia Lakes/Burro Pass/Summit Lake (10,000-11,150') this weekend for some more acclimation before my big climb.
