Don't forget that today is National Trails Day - Hopefully everyone is able to make it out!

I joined the Tahoe Rim Trail organization and about 80 other trail hounds and we decommissioned and re-routed several social trails under the Gondola (the gondola that takes one up to Heavenly Ski Resort) in the Van Sickle Bi-State Park that straddles Nevada and California. We worked all day and when we finished I was filthy dirty and bone tired and looking forward to another trails day. Oh, and for the icing on the cake as it were, the TRT and sponsor REI treated us to Peppermint Candy ice cream when we finished hiking out.

Sounds like a fun day and definite bonus regarding the ice cream. :) Jen and I headed out Saturday morning and did a quick overnighter along the Stough Creek Lakes Trail in the southern part of the Wind River Range - Was great to get out, catch a few great views and enjoy the near full moon along with a passing rain shower or two overnight.
