Hello everyone, first day on the board! Im a 20 year old looking to walk across the country. Ive got 4 long distance trips of 50-75 miles under my belt and a significant portion of my existence has been spent in the woods. Ive been prepping for this trip for about half a year now. Anyone else on here done it before? If so ide love some advice. Ide love to hear from veterans of the US's other long distance trails too, thru-hikers especially.

I want to do a long distance trip like this sometime in the future but just not yet. No question it will be a challenge. How long do you plan to do it in?

Do a search for Andrew Skurka. He used the AT as a warm-up hike then hiked from coast to coast the next year. He used part of the AT to start, then all the North Country Trail, then over 500 miles of planning his own route. He hiked from Atlantic to Pacific in just under one year elapsed time.
