Looking for trail recommendation near Mt. Adams, 4 days/3 nights

Hello everyone, new member here. I'm looking for a trip recommendation for my 13 year-old daughter and me. We're planning on a 4 day/3 night backpacking trip in mid to late July somewhere in Southern WA perhaps? I'd prefer a designated Wilderness area but a non-Wilderness area with minimal vehicular traffic would be acceptable. Someone we know suggested Mt. Adams (but I'm open to other suggestions).

We're both in pretty good shape but are relatively neophyte backpackers. For reference, last summer we went up to Spider Meadow in Central WA and were able to handle that distance/elevation gain without much difficulty. We could go a little bit further with a little bit more elevation gain but I'd like to keep it fun for her by not overreaching. We're not looking to set any pace or distance records but I'd like some place with great scenery.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

The first trail that comes to mind is the Timberline Trail around Mt. Hood. It's a fairly challenging 4-day trip, but world-class beautiful. Easier, but also breathtaking, hikes are in the Goat Rocks Wilderness (hikes from Chambers Lake are pretty easy) and also the Tatoosh Wilderness from the town of Packwood.

You can hike around Mt. Adams, but I think you need to get a permit from the Yakima reservation. I've bagged the peak but not otherwise hiked there.

Thank you. We live in Central OR so Mt. Hood is a bit more familiar than I'd like. I've been reading about the Goat Rocks Wilderness and it sound pretty nice. Is it as windy as my book leads me to believe? I'll research Tatoosh. I appreciate your input!

I don't remember wind being an issue - just great views and places where mosquitos were bad. Been there 3 times and I think it was always in July.
