I don't trust biodegradable soaps. I never use soap out in the backcountry. If you do use soap, don't let it get into water sources as it could affect wildlife. To clean my pots I usually just warm up very little water, scrub with my fingers or a bandana, and drink the water. If the pot is really dirty I'll repeat the process until it's clean. I try to leave absolutely no trace.
