Once the food bag is hung and darkness begins to fall, the last thing I want to do after jumping in the tent and zipping the doors closed is having to put shoes back on and head back out to perform the tent adjustment routine once again. But with many tents, especially of the ultralight, non-freestanding variety you might have to do just that all over again if you didn’t get your tent doors where you wanted them on that initial setup routine. For example, if you setup and tensioned your tent with all the vestibule doors open, you may find that you now cannot zip them closed. If you setup your tent with your doors closed and decide you want to keep them open for ventilation on a warm night, your tent may now sag and flap in the wind...
